Victory...

...for Bernadette and Haymes.

The hosts' video analysis is up, and a recap. I'll update this post as the Golf Channel updates its website. If you're able to catch Golf Central today, word has it that there will be footage of a last-episode viewing party from the home of one of Haymes' relatives (father-in-law?) in Fairhope, Alabama. Twas attended by 100 or so people, including Haymes' brother, Brandt. And Bernadette, of course.

The finale should have been a two hour program. We missed a bunch of holes and a rain of birdies by Hugo and Haymes early in the round. I thought Hugo and Camilla were a class act. The former, btw, made it to the final stage of PGA Q-school, though I don't know what happened after that. Camilla will be playing on the Futures Tour this coming year.

And now it's over. Except for the reruns.
----------------------
Update: A lady calling herself The Golf Gal interviews Haymes.

A few articles: from Naples, Ole Miss sports, and Nashville. There are many others. Even one from Canada.

I turn on the TV last night to catch Golf Central and the picture on the screen is nothing more than a thin white strip of light. A couple times the full picture came back, then went away again, and now seems permanently gone. So chances are I'll never see that post-match party footage. If this had happened the previous night during the match itself, I'd be dead or comatose from a blown gasket. Guess this means a new TV. Had to have a new toilet installed yesterday too. It's Christmas. Things happen.

The series engaged me even more than I had thought it would, Bill, and it was a thrill to have it finish with victory for Bernadette and Haymes. Warm congratulations to them both, not only on their victory but on their sportsmanship and mutual support. Sterling in game and person. Thanks.

Generous, as usual, Francis.

Hugo and Camilla are a class act and I agree with the announcer who said that the four most likable people made it to the final. How clutch was that rain of early birdies from Haymes and Hugo? Definitely some really good golf was played. Congrats to the winners!

She'll read that as soon as she recovers from the trip to Alabama.

Oh. That's probably because you have over 300 friends on Facebook. Which is insane.
