My dad brought me one of those Taylor Made drivers with the weighted plugs, this one weighted to correct my incorrigible slice. Seems to help some -- seriously.
I believe you. It's been a while since I've seen you swing, so if you can make your way down to Florida, I'd be glad to have a look...
Taylor Made, huh? Your dad spoils you. In the video Bern's swinging a Callaway, one of several gotten for free while on tour. She gives me the leftovers.
Well, I had been using a knock-off driver that actually exaggerated my slice -- a really pathetic club which, in justice, ought to have taken a long soak in the pond months ago.
Why don't you make your way up to Georgia instead?
I hope you hotshots will indulge me a brief narrative of Why Golf Will Piss You Off:
Yesterday afternoon I played a quick nine. Three times I was looking at a makable birdie putt. All three were good putts, just off line; disappointing in the sense that I could not come out with even one birdie, but satisfactory in the sense that tap-in pars tend to be.

I'll think about it. I'm always thinking about it.
Man, I have a beautiful swing! :)
You're supposed to let other people say that.

The other six holes?
All double bogeys.
Golf is mostly a series of lessons in humiliation. But we keep going back for more.
