Remember that your life is wind

An email from the wife - Subject: A Gentle Reminder

Good afternoon my sweet angels,

As stated above this is a gentle reminder --- tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, a day of fast and abstinence (no meat and 2 small meals and one main meal)--- yes, it is the beginning of Lent --- I am always reminded of you two when you were little, and the hard work that you gave to your Lenten observations --- you guys were a constant inspiration --- I know that it is sometimes harder as we get older because we are pulled in so many directions ---

Try to do something special this Lent --- remember that you don’t have to give up something ---

I love you both sooooooo very much,

Mom

P.S. - This next quote was in the reading on Saturday, and I just love it ---

"Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and the evidence of things not seen."
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

A copy of this was cc'd to me, but I know that I am not one of the "sweet angels" in the salutation. And the girls were always pretty good at recollecting their obligations. So I'm thinking this was aimed as much in my direction as in that of the sweet angels. Yes, the more I consider it the more certain I am. For if I am found to be remiss in remembering the reminder (as has happened before), the remonstration will not be so gentle.

Doesn't sound so bad when you call it a 'season.'

Anyway, same to you Micki.
