The Muslim girls were all right...

before they ended up dead. Maybe now they're saints in heaven (it is possible), martyrs to a cause: the freedom to live and love as we see fit. Even if we see wrongly, the punishment of death seems disproportionate. In 2008, these two girls, Amina and Sarah Said, received such punishment, allegedly at their father's hand:

If you have TV access, Fox News airs a program tonight at 10 P.M. Eastern called "Honor Killing in America," which features the case of Amina and Sarah. I cannot, of course, vouch in advance for the show's quality, but it might be worth a look.

I wonder if they'll tell about how the brother, Islam (that's his name), defended their murders.

They did. The whole family sounds like a rat's nest, or, as the girls' mother's sister put it, "a pack of dogs." Which in my opinion is a slander against dogs.

We don't have cable so I'll have to mss this, but I've posted the link you gave at FB. How many murders will it take?

In the UK, they have a problem with infiltration of the police (really, active recruitment, not some sneaky infiltration) and the social workers groups by Muslims. The upshot is that sometimes Muslim women and girls seeking to flee their families are betrayed.

I would like to say that government agencies in cities with large Muslim populations should launch a major prevention campaign, complete with a hotline, for women and girls who think they are in danger of honor killings, but the trouble is that quite frankly, unless such agencies discriminate against Muslims in hiring their helping personnel for such a program, they could end up throwing the girls to the wolves when they seek help.

Oh, great, I just learned that Islam was supposedly "home schooled" for the last six years. Just what we need! I've warned about this--when Muslims start using home schooling it's going to hurt all of us. Thank goodness that so far more of them seem to prefer a combination of public schools and Madrassas.
