Erica Blasberg's death a suicide...

...or so the county coroner has ruled. You can listen on that page to Dr. Thomas Hess's 911 call. He was later arrested for removing items from the scene, which included Erica's suicide note. Now why would a doctor do that? In addition to all the drugs in her system, she was found with a bag over her head, a detail not released in initial press reports.

(This is a follow-up to a previous post. Thanks to friend Ann Crews for the heads-up.)

That's so bizarre. Why _would_ as doctor do that?

It almost sounds as if he might have somehow helped her to commit suicide, though I hate to jump to that conclusion.

Or didn't want the finger pointed at him as someone who prescribed so many drugs that it drove her to suicide. Maybe didn't want a Michael Jackson situation looking at him. If he did the prescribing. The news reports seem to answer one question and beg fifty more.

All my mystery story reader's instincts say that the contents of that note have to be extremely important to the investigation--for example, if he is named in the note in some way that could compromise him. One way it could do this would be by implying that he prescribed the drugs.
