The Big Break X - Michigan

I guess it's about time to start advertising. On October 7th, 10 P.M. EST, I think, the Golf Channel will air the first episode of its latest installment in the Big Break Series. Says the article: "For its 10th anniversary, Big Break X: Michigan returns to the destination where it all began – northern Michigan. Known as 'America’s Summer Golf Capital...'" More exactly, to the Boyne Highlands Resort. (Here are some pictures of the Heather and Arthur Hill Courses. I like the one with the fox crossing the fairway.)

One of the competitors on the program will be Bernadette Luse. The format this time is a male-female team competition. Bern will be paired with Haymes Snedeker, former Ole Miss assistant men's golf coach, currently a 28 year old municipal judge in Fairhope, Alabama, and "older brother of 2007 PGA TOUR rookie of the year Brandt Snedeker."

And what will they be competing for?

The male champion will earn an exemption into the 2009 Children’s Miracle Network Classic at the Walt Disney World Resort, while the female will compete in the 2009 Bell Micro LPGA Classic...Each member of the winning team will receive a BMW 328iCoupe plus a trip to the BMW Performance Center in Spartanburg, S.C. They also will earn a Dick’s Sporting Goods gift package including $10,000 cash ($5,000 each) and $5,000 in gift cards ($2,500 each). Finally, each player’s entry fees for LPGA and PGA Tour Qualifying Tournaments will be covered by SkyCaddie, as well as Adams Golf providing an endorsement contract plus $5,000 in cash to each winner.

Haymes' and Bern's team bio can be found on this page, and a little further down you can click on their bio video linked in blue. The other players can be accessed from the same page.

Good luck, kid. The silent assassin. I like it.
