Paul Cella's

a Dad again, for the third time, I think. A few days ago, and weighing in at 8 lbs. 4 oz., Elizabeth Paige Cella came into the world. Elizabeth - good name, that. He hasn't posted about it that I've seen, so if you want to leave congratulations, you can do it here. He'll probably see it.

Yes it is. He's a good Dad, too, and a faithful husband, honest, trustworthy, devout, sincere, modest, unpretentious, patriotic, good-humored, slow to anger, considerate of others, and thinks that Humanae Vitae is the mark of prophecy and spiritual grandeur. He's everything a good Catholic should be if only he were one. He's probably also a sinner, though I am not privy to the evidence.

Nice work old boy! Where's my cigar?

Bill flatters me excessively -- or perhaps he merely confuses me with my wife.

Next time I visit the great state of California (which state I refuse to consign to oblivion with the rest of American "conservatives"), I will be sure to bring a cigar for Mr. Culbreath.

I'm going to hold you to it, Mr. Cella. Food and lodging will be happily provided in exchange, along with my nickel tour of "the other California".

I'd check to make sure the state's still there, Paul, before I hopped on a plane.
