Culbreath Posts Again!

Yep, and pretty meaty, too, with reflections on what George Washington's Thanksgiving proclamation means for our country today, on the insane lust for tyranny that impels the USDA to want to register, tag, and track every farm animal in the country, on bigotry against farmers, followed by some cool links to a weeping Virgin, a Christian Phalangist party (must be into finger food), God and natural disasters, and all topped off by a poem from Jeff's own pen.
Still no comments, though, so I suggest you bombard him with grateful emails - if you have his address - but if not TSO probably has it so you can send them to him and he can forward to Jeff. Yessir, sounds like a plan.

We could always use this comment box in lieu of Jeff's. We know he reads this blog after all. And I was going to ask him a question myself. Is that St. Augustine prayer book contain only poems written by the great saint? I looked at the link and there seemed no assurance of that.

Yes, you may use this comment box. And if the man has any decency left in him, he will answer your question.

Gentlemen.

Yes, I am already backsliding. You both knew that, of course, and I detect some delight in that fact. Apologia and Video are more addictive than my pipe or my scotch (but not my morning coffee).

Don't think I didn't notice you dissing Gods and Generals, TS ...

Compliments will get you almost everywhere with me, but when these fail, try challenges to my decency. :-)

I'm not sure how St. Augustine's Prayer Book came to be named, but there is only one prayer in it attributed to the saint. The rest is a treasure trove of Anglo-Catholic spirutuality: daily prayers, novenas, litanies, meditations (rosary, eucharist, stations, etc.), and much much more.

I'll probably continue reading, but I'm going to pretend otherwise so as not to get sucked in again. A blessed Advent to you both.

That's funny Jeff. I read my blog to my wife since she's not sufficiently curious to read it her own self, and she said of the "Gods & Generals" review -- didn't your friend love that one? And I said yes but he doesn't mind when we don't agree on stuff, nor do I, and besides he's staying away from the 'Net. Ha ha ha.

I'll watch Gods 'n Generals and settle this once and for all.

So, have you seen Gods 'n Generals yet?

And when am I going to see a post here so that I can title one "Luse Posts Again!"?

No, I haven't. But I will. Probably. And, as the women might say, I'm not much "in the mood" for posting right now.
